The Youth Red Cross Unit at MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies (RVILS) promotes humanitarian values and encourages students to participate in activities related to health awareness, blood donation and community welfare. The unit organises programmes such as health camps, awareness drives and voluntary service initiatives, fostering a spirit of social responsibility among students.

To imbibe social consciousness into the student community to service the society without selfishness.

To provide relief in times of disasters/emergencies and promote health and care of vulnerable people and communities.
RVILS organised Samvedna 2 – Blood Donation and Health Camp in observance of International Women’s Day 2025.
The programme commenced at 10:30 AM at Mangala Mantapa and included a blood donation camp, eye screening and dental check-up, promoting health awareness and community service.
Around 100 units of blood were successfully collected during the camp.
The event was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K.R., Principal, RVILS, with Smt. R. Pramila Naidu, Advocate & Notary Public and Former Chairperson, Karnataka State Commission for Women, Bengaluru, attending as Chief Guest, and Lion T.P. Leelavathi, PMJF Member District GST, Bengaluru, as Guest of Honour.
Practical demonstrations on disaster response and emergency preparedness were conducted by officers from the Jayanagar Fire Station, including guidance on assisting injured persons, using fire extinguishers and understanding the functioning of fire engines during fire emergencies.
These demonstrations were part of an awareness programme organised by the Red Cross Unit of MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies (RVILS) in observance of National Disaster Day.
The programme was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K.R., Principal, RVILS, with Sri. M.S. Rajesh, Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Bengaluru Urban District, attending as Chief Guest and Sri. Saravana M., Executive Committee Member, Indian Red Cross Society, as Guest of Honour.
An awareness programme on Disaster Risk Reduction was organised at Mangala Mantapa, MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies, in observance of the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction 2024.
The programme featured practical insights on disaster response and emergency preparedness. The programme was also attended by members of the Indian Red Cross Society and officials from the Fire Department, who shared their experiences in disaster management and public service.
On the occasion of National Youth Day, the NSS Unit and Youth Red Cross Society of RVILS, in association with the Lions Blood Centre, Wilson Garden, organised a Free Blood Donation Camp and Eye Screening Programme.
The initiative encouraged voluntary blood donation and promoted awareness about health and social responsibility among students.
The event was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K. R., Principal, RVILS, with Dr. Kavyashree N., Nodal Law Officer, Department of Collegiate Education, Bengaluru, attending as Chief Guest, and Lion V. Ravinder (PMJF), Additional District Cabinet Secretary, District 317A, as Guest of Honour.
In observance of World Blood Donor Day 2023, the NSS Unit of RVILS, in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka, organised a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp.
The programme was inaugurated by RTN. Uday Kumar Bhaskara, District Governor 2023–24, RI District 3191, with RTN. N.P. Nagendra Babu, Officer Commanding (Warden Services), Karnataka Civil Defence, and Dr. Srinivas, Medical Officer, Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka, attending as Guests of Honour.
The event was presided over by Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K.R., Principal, RVILS. A total of 60 students and staff members voluntarily donated blood during the camp, contributing to a humanitarian cause
An International Women’s Day Blood Donation Initiative was organised by the IQAC Cell of RVILS, in coordination with the NSS Unit and the Red Cross Unit, in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka.
The initiative witnessed over 62 students registering for voluntary blood donation, demonstrating strong student participation in community service.
The programme was inaugurated by Smt. Lakshmy Iyengar, Senior Advocate, High Court of Karnataka, and Dr. Snehalatha G. Nadiger, Principal, NMKRV College, in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K.R., Principal, RVILS, who appreciated the volunteers for their commitment to social responsibility.
