The Legal Services Clinic of MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies (RVILS) organised a legal awareness programme in association with the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority and the District Legal Services Authority, Bengaluru Urban District. The session addressed the misuse and unauthorised display of national symbols, seals, flags and the State Emblem of India.
The programme discussed the provisions of the State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act, 2005. Mr. Aswin K., Assistant Professor, RVILS, explained the legal framework governing the use of National emblems and symbols.
Prof. (Dr.) Anjina Reddy K.R., Principal, RVILS, highlighted the objectives of the legislation and spoke about the significance of the National motto “Satyameva Jayate”, emphasising the importance of responsible and lawful use of National symbols in public and private contexts.

The Karnataka Institute for Law & Parliamentary Reform (KILPAR), in association with MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies (RVILS), Bengaluru, organised the Model Vidhana Sabha Competition 2024–2025 on 1st March, 2025. The event aimed to provide students with practical exposure to legislative procedures and parliamentary functioning.
The inaugural session featured Sri G. Sridhar, Secretary to Government, Parliamentary Affairs and Legislation, Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru who highlighted the importance of constitutional values and legislative processes.
The event also included addresses by Dr. C.S. Patil, Director, KILPAR and Dr. Revaiah Wodeyar, Research Head, KILPAR.
The competition brought together participants from various law institutions. At the valedictory session, the competition winners were announced and honoured with trophies and certificates.

The event focused on promoting awareness of Human Rights principles and contemporary issues related to the Protection of Fundamental Rights.
Dr. T. Sham Bhatt administered the Human Rights Pledge and spoke on the significance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Sri S. K. Vantigodi highlighted practical challenges relating to Human Rights violations and the importance of legal awareness

The Legal Services Clinic of RVILS organised an awareness rally in observance of the International Day of the Girl Child 2024, in association with the District Legal Services Authority, Bengaluru Urban.
The rally was conducted at Gandhi Bazar, Bengaluru, with the participation of 55 student volunteers, along with faculty members and institutional representatives. Participants engaged with street vendors and members of the public to raise awareness about the importance of protecting and valuing the girl child.
Through public interaction and awareness slogans, the rally emphasised the need to promote the rights, dignity and equal opportunities of girls in society.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies (RVILS) celebrated NSS Day 2025 in collaboration with the Youth4 – One Nation One Election Programme. The programme included a flag hoisting ceremony and an NSS parade, reflecting the spirit of service, discipline and civic responsibility associated with the National Service Scheme.
The event was attended by Smt. Malavika Avinash, Advocate, Actress, and Television Personality, who addressed students on the significance of the Constitution of India and the concept of One Nation, One Election, encouraging young citizens to actively participate in democratic processes.
The session also featured addresses by Sri K.S. Naveen, ONOE State Convenor, Karnataka, and Sri Ashwathnarayan, ONOE State Co-Convenor, Karnataka, who discussed electoral reforms and the role of youth in strengthening democratic institutions.
Students of the NSS Unit actively participated in the programme, which emphasised the values of public service, National responsibility and the guiding NSS motto, “Not Me, But You.”

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies (RVILS) organised “Voters Awareness Forum: Voter Registration DriveThrough the Voter Helpline App” in association with the Bangalore Political Action Committee (B.PAC).
The programme focused on promoting electoral awareness and encouraging students to participate actively in the democratic process. Participants were guided on the use of the Voter Helpline App to facilitate voter registration and access to election-related services.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies organised an awareness programme in observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2024, in collaboration with Jayanagar Police Station, Bengaluru.
The programme aimed to raise awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of prevention and responsible social behaviour. Students delivered short speeches highlighting the social and legal consequences of substance abuse.
An awareness rally was also conducted around the college campus to promote the message of a drug-free and healthy society, with active participation from students and faculty members.

The session was delivered by Mr. Jai Warrier, Co-Founder, Initiative for Climate Action, Bengaluru, who discussed contemporary environmental challenges and the role of law students in addressing issues of climate governance and sustainability.

The programme was inaugurated by RTN. Udaykumar Bhaskara, District Governor (2023–24), RI District 3191. The event was attended by RTN. N.P. Nagendra Babu, Officer Commanding (Warden Services), Karnataka Civil Defence, and Dr. Srinivas, Medical Officer, Indian Red Cross Society, Karnataka, as Guests of Honour.
A total of 60 students and staff members of RVILS voluntarily donated blood, contributing to a humanitarian initiative promoting community service and public health awareness.

Anti-Drug Awareness Walkathon, 2022


On the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, a mega walkathon was organised at Sri Kanteerava Outdoor Stadium, Bengaluru, as part of the “AAROHAN Steps” initiative led by M Square Events in association with the Karnataka State Excise Department, National Service Scheme and the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Government of Karnataka.
Students and members of the NSS Unit of MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies (RVILS) actively participated in the walkathon, contributing to the awareness campaign against drug abuse.
